⚖️ YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE PRESERVEDNothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Ghana Consumer Protection Act, 2023 (Act 1061) or any other applicable Ghanaian consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract. Where any term in these Terms conflicts with a non-excludable statutory right under Act 1061, your statutory right prevails to the extent of that conflict.

The Company reserves the right to amend, modify, or replace these Terms at any time at its sole discretion. Continued use of the Platform following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

The Company may, at any time and without notice, discontinue, modify, or restrict access to the Platform or any feature thereof. The Company shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

3. Platform Description & Role

Chek Chek is a technology intermediary platform that connects Customers with independent Vendors and independent Riders in Accra, Ghana. Chek Chek is not a food manufacturer, restaurant, or delivery company. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you may have under the Ghana Consumer Protection Act, 2023 (Act 1061) that cannot be excluded by contract.

  • The Company does not prepare, cook, handle, package, or inspect any food items.
  • Riders are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Chek Chek.
  • Vendors operate their own independent businesses and are solely responsible for food quality, hygiene, and compliance.
  • The Company acts solely as a marketplace facilitator and assumes no liability for the acts or omissions of Vendors or Riders.

Any contract for the sale of food is entered into directly between the Customer and the Vendor. Any contract for delivery is entered into directly between the Customer and the Rider. Chek Chek is not a party to either contract.

4. User Eligibility & Account Responsibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Use of the Platform by persons under 18 is strictly prohibited.

  • You are solely responsible for all activity conducted under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep it updated at all times.
  • You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any security breach.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
  • The Company reserves the right to suspend, deactivate, or permanently terminate any account at its sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason including but not limited to suspected violation of these Terms.

5. Ordering, Pricing & Payment

When you place an order through the Platform:

  • Prices are displayed in Ghana Cedis (GHS). The Company reserves the right to adjust prices at any time without prior notice.
  • Delivery fees are determined at checkout and are non-refundable once a Rider has been assigned.
  • A service fee may be applied to orders to support Platform operations.
  • Accepted payment methods include Mobile Money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo), debit/credit cards, and cash on delivery (where available).
  • The Company is not liable for failed, delayed, or erroneous transactions caused by third-party payment processors, banks, or mobile money operators.
  • Promotional prices, discount codes, and flash sales are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time without notice.
  • The Company reserves the right to cancel any order where pricing errors have occurred, regardless of whether the order has been confirmed.

6. Cancellations & Refund Policy

Orders may only be cancelled within 2 minutes of placement, provided the Vendor has not yet confirmed preparation. Once preparation has commenced, cancellations are at the Company's sole discretion. Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or refund right you have under the Ghana Consumer Protection Act, 2023 (Act 1061) that cannot be excluded by contract.

Refunds may be considered only in the following circumstances, subject to investigation:

  • Non-delivery confirmed to be caused directly by a platform-side error.
  • Materially incorrect items delivered, reported within 30 minutes of delivery with photographic evidence.
  • Duplicate payment charged in error by the Platform (not by a third-party processor).
  • Any other circumstance where a refund is required under Act 1061.

The following are excluded from discretionary refund eligibility (except where Act 1061 mandates otherwise):

  • Dissatisfaction with food taste, portion size, or presentation.
  • Delivery delays caused by traffic, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
  • Errors in the delivery address provided by the Customer.
  • Orders marked as delivered by the Rider and not disputed within 30 minutes.
  • Claims submitted more than 24 hours after delivery.

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. If you believe you have a right to a remedy under Act 1061 that the Company has not provided, you may contact the Ghana Consumer Protection Agency or seek legal advice.

7. Food Safety & Health Disclaimer

IMPORTANT HEALTH DISCLAIMER: Chek Chek does not inspect, certify, or guarantee the quality, safety, hygiene, or nutritional accuracy of any food prepared by Vendors. All food is prepared by independent Vendors operating their own kitchens.

  • The Company shall have no liability whatsoever for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, foodborne disease, or adverse health outcome arising from food ordered through the Platform.
  • Customers with food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions are solely responsible for verifying the suitability of any food item before ordering.
  • Allergen information, where displayed, is provided by Vendors and may not be complete or accurate. Customers must contact Vendors directly to confirm allergen details.
  • The Company expressly disclaims any and all liability for food safety incidents.

8. Vendor Terms & Obligations

By listing on Chek Chek, Vendors represent, warrant, and agree to:

  • Hold and maintain all valid food handling, business operation, and health permits required under Ghanaian law and Ghana Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) standards.
  • Accurately represent all menu items, prices, availability, ingredients, and allergen information.
  • Fulfill all confirmed orders promptly and to the standard described on the Platform.
  • Pay subscription and commission fees in accordance with the agreed plan. Non-payment constitutes grounds for immediate suspension.
  • Indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company from and against any claims, losses, or damages arising from the Vendor's food, conduct, or breach of these Terms.

The Company reserves the right to remove, suspend, or delist any Vendor at any time without prior notice and without liability, for any reason including but not limited to quality complaints, regulatory non-compliance, or reputational risk.

9. Rider Terms & Independent Contractor Status

Riders using the Platform acknowledge and agree that:

  • They are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or partners of Chek Chek. No employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency is created by these Terms.
  • They are solely responsible for their own taxes, social security contributions, vehicle maintenance, fuel, insurance, and compliance with Ghanaian traffic and transport laws.
  • They hold full liability for any accidents, injuries, property damage, or incidents occurring during deliveries.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any Rider's negligence, misconduct, road accidents, or failure to deliver.
  • Earnings calculations and payment terms are governed by the separate Rider Agreement, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Using the Platform for any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purpose.
  • Placing orders with no genuine intention to pay (for cash on delivery).
  • Submitting false, fabricated, misleading, or defamatory reviews or reports.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, servers, databases, or other user accounts.
  • Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract data from the Platform.
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing Company staff, Vendors, or Riders.
  • Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions, referral programs, or loyalty rewards.
  • Uploading or transmitting malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.

Violations may result in immediate account termination, permanent ban from the Platform, and/or referral to law enforcement authorities. The Company reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for damages caused by prohibited conduct.

11. Reviews & User-Generated Content

By submitting any review, rating, comment, or content to the Platform, you grant Chek Chek a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such content for any purpose.

  • You represent that your content is truthful, accurate, and does not infringe any third-party rights.
  • The Company reserves the right to remove any user-generated content at its sole discretion without notice or liability.
  • You are solely liable for any content you submit. The Company accepts no liability for user-generated content.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to the Chek Chek name, logo, brand identity, design, text, graphics, software, and data, is the exclusive property of Chek Chek and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in Ghana and internationally.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any Platform content without express written permission from the Company.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

  • The Company does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or harmful components.
  • The Company does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information displayed on the Platform, including Vendor menus, prices, preparation times, or delivery estimates.
  • The Company makes no warranties regarding the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the food or services provided by Vendors or Riders.

14. Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ACT 1061: Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the Ghana Consumer Protection Act, 2023 (Act 1061), including but not limited to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that Ghanaian law does not permit to be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

SUBJECT TO THE ABOVE, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE GHANAIAN LAW (INCLUDING ACT 1061), THE COMPANY, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
  • Any damage to health, personal injury, or death caused by food prepared by any Vendor (liability rests solely with the Vendor).
  • Any actions, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any Rider during delivery.
  • Delivery delays caused by traffic, weather, force majeure, or any event outside our reasonable control.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data due to your failure to secure your credentials.
  • Any loss or damage resulting from reliance on information on the Platform.
  • Any Platform downtime, outages, or service interruptions.

In any event, and subject to Act 1061, the Company's maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific order or transaction giving rise to the claim. We do not impose any lower monetary cap on liability for consumer claims where Act 1061 requires otherwise.

Note: We strongly recommend obtaining professional legal advice if you believe a liability situation has arisen. As a platform intermediary, liability for food quality and delivery conduct rests primarily with the Vendor and Rider respectively. Act 1061 professional review of these caps is pending — this section will be updated upon completion of that review.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chek Chek and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Platform.
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Any content you submit to the Platform.
  • Any dispute between you and any Vendor or Rider.

16. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in performance, where such failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, government restrictions, pandemics, civil unrest, internet outages, power failures, strikes, floods, fires, or other events of force majeure.

17. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described therein.

The Company reserves the right to share your data with Vendors, Riders, payment processors, and law enforcement authorities as required to facilitate orders or comply with legal obligations.

18. Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a competent court, that provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

The Company's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision, nor shall it prevent the Company from enforcing such right or provision in the future.

19. ChekChek+ Subscription Terms

The following additional terms apply to ChekChek+ membership subscriptions:

  • ChekChek+ subscriptions are offered on monthly (₵75), quarterly (₵200), and annual (₵850) plans. Prices are in Ghana Cedis and are subject to change with 14 days' notice to existing subscribers.
  • Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated as a general policy, except where a refund is required under the Ghana Consumer Protection Act, 2023 (Act 1061) or any other applicable consumer protection legislation. Statutory refund rights are fully preserved.
  • Subscription benefits (discounts, free delivery, loyalty points multipliers) are applied automatically upon activation by an administrator and are subject to the terms applicable at the time of subscription.
  • The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the ChekChek+ programme with 30 days' prior notice to active subscribers. Where benefits are materially reduced, proportionate refunds will be considered in accordance with Act 1061.
  • Abuse of subscription benefits (including creating multiple accounts to claim benefits) will result in cancellation without refund and potential account termination.
  • Subscriptions do not automatically renew. You must manually renew before expiry to maintain uninterrupted benefits.
  • The Company reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect the current active subscription period.

20. Marketplace Payment Model & No Escrow

Chek Chek operates as a marketplace and record-keeper. The Platform does not hold, custody, escrow, or transfer customer funds at any point.

  • Payments for food orders are made directly from the Customer to the Vendor's verified Mobile Money (MoMo) account or via cash on delivery. The Platform records payment transaction IDs and facilitates confirmation between parties but does not process or intercept the payment itself.
  • A PaymentRecord log is maintained for each payment transaction, capturing the MoMo transaction ID, payer, payee, amount, and confirmation status. This record is used for dispute resolution, corporate statement reconciliation, and audit compliance.
  • The Platform is not a payment processor, escrow agent, or financial institution. It does not collect interest, hold deposits, or retain any portion of customer-to-vendor payments.
  • Where a Rider collects cash on delivery, the cash transaction occurs directly between the Customer and Rider. The Platform records the transaction for purposes of earnings calculation and dispute resolution only.
  • For corporate accounts, the Platform provides ordering control and consolidated monthly statement reporting. It does not bill companies, collect corporate payments, or hold corporate funds. Employees pay vendors directly via their own MoMo or the company's registered MoMo number.

21. Multi-Vendor Checkout & Payment Checklist

Where a Customer orders from multiple Vendors in a single checkout:

  • The Platform creates a parent order with linked sub-orders, each payable to the respective Vendor's verified MoMo number.
  • A Payment Checklist is presented requiring the Customer to send separate MoMo payments to each Vendor and enter each transaction ID.
  • If all sub-order payments are not confirmed within 20 minutes, the order is auto-cancelled. Payments already confirmed at that time are treated as completed transactions between the Customer and respective Vendor — the Platform does not facilitate or mediate refunds between parties.
  • A flat delivery fee may apply for multi-vendor orders, payable to the assigned Rider via their verified MoMo number.

22. Scheduled & Recurring Orders

The Platform allows Customers to schedule orders for future delivery or set up recurring delivery schedules:

  • Scheduled orders are created as ScheduledOrder records and processed at the designated delivery time through the standard Vendor and Rider assignment flow.
  • Recurring schedules (daily, weekly, weekday-only, monthly) generate individual orders at each scheduled interval. Customers may pause or cancel a recurring schedule at any time.
  • Vendor operating hours are validated at the time of scheduling. Orders cannot be scheduled outside a Vendor's stated operating hours.
  • Payment for scheduled orders is required before the scheduled delivery time (MoMo) or on delivery (cash). The Platform does not store payment credentials or pre-authorise payments.

23. Group Ordering & Split Payments

The Platform offers Group Ordering where a Host creates a session, shares a link, and participants add items to a shared cart:

  • In Host Pays mode, the Host pays for all participants' items at checkout. The Platform does not facilitate reimbursement between participants.
  • In Split Payment mode, each participant pays their share to the Host's personal MoMo number. The Platform records share amounts and payment transaction IDs. The Host then pays Vendors and Riders directly.
  • The Platform does not hold participant funds, calculate change, or mediate split payment disputes between participants. All financial arrangements between participants and the Host are direct (MoMo or cash).
  • A deadline-based auto-lock applies. If split payments are not confirmed within the set window, the Host may choose to cover unconfirmed shares or remove participants.

24. Family Ordering Profiles

The Platform offers Family Ordering where a Customer creates a family group (up to 6 members) and shares delivery addresses, favourite restaurants, and dietary notes:

  • Family groups are non-monetary. The Platform does not create a shared wallet, stored value, or joint payment method for family groups.
  • A member may build a cart and send a cart request to the family's designated payer. The payer reviews, approves, and checks out through the standard direct-payment flow (MoMo or cash).
  • Cart amounts may be masked for non-payer members to protect financial privacy.
  • The Platform is not a party to any financial arrangement between family members. All payments are direct between the payer and the Vendor/Rider.

25. Corporate / Office Ordering

The Platform offers Corporate/Office Ordering for organisations, NGOs, and government entities:

  • The Platform provides ordering control, employee management, department and cost centre tagging, and consolidated monthly statement reporting.
  • Chek Chek does not bill companies, collect corporate payments, or hold corporate funds. Employees pay Vendors directly via their own MoMo (reimbursable) or via the company's registered MoMo number.
  • Per-employee and per-department monthly order limits may be configured. Orders exceeding limits require corporate admin approval before confirmation.
  • Monthly statements consolidate all orders by department and cost centre, including MoMo transaction IDs from PaymentRecords. Statements are for reporting and reconciliation purposes only — they do not constitute invoices from Chek Chek.
  • Vendor credit terms, where offered, are arranged directly between the Vendor and the Corporate account. The Platform records credit orders for statement reconciliation but does not extend credit, hold funds, or facilitate settlement between parties.

26. Smart Party Mode & Catering Milestones

The Platform offers Smart Party Mode for event catering (weddings, birthdays, funerals, conferences, etc.):

  • Customers submit a catering request with event type, guest count, date, venue, and budget. The Platform uses AI to generate a quantity plan that the Customer can edit before publishing.
  • Caterers in the venue city submit itemised bids with pricing, deposit percentage, and logistics plans. Customers compare bids side by side and accept one.
  • Upon acceptance, payment milestones are created (default: 50% deposit to confirm, balance on event day). The deposit percentage is vendor-adjustable between 30–70%.
  • Each milestone payment is made directly from the Customer to the Vendor's verified MoMo account. The Platform records the MoMo transaction ID and facilitates confirmation between parties through a PaymentRecord.
  • The Platform is not an escrow agent for catering payments. It does not hold deposit funds, release balance payments, or mediate milestone payment disputes beyond recording claim/confirm/dispute status.
  • Catering event reminders (7-day and 1-day) are sent via SMS to both the Customer and Vendor for confirmed (awarded) events.

27. Events & Festivals Mode

The Platform offers Events & Festivals Mode for temporary vendor onboarding and zone-based QR ordering at live events:

  • Admins create events with delivery zones. Temporary event vendors register with their MoMo details, which are admin-verified before they appear to customers.
  • Event vendors are temporary — they are automatically deactivated when the event ends and may receive a permanent vendor invitation link.
  • Customers place orders at the event venue by scanning a zone QR code, selecting vendors, and paying directly to the vendor's verified MoMo number. The Platform records the transaction ID and facilitates vendor confirmation.
  • The Platform is a marketplace and record-keeper for event orders. It does not hold event funds, process payments, or act as an escrow agent.
  • Event vendor sales summaries are sent via SMS when the event closes.

28. Delivery-as-a-Service (DaaS)

The Platform offers Delivery-as-a-Service for businesses leveraging idle capacity in the existing delivery rider fleet:

  • Businesses subscribe to a DaaS plan with a monthly delivery cap. Delivery fees are paid directly to Riders' verified MoMo accounts.
  • The Platform records delivery transactions and settlement batches against PaymentRecords. It does not hold business funds, pre-collect delivery payments, or act as a payment processor for DaaS fees.
  • Monthly caps reset automatically. If a business exceeds its cap, deliveries are paused until the next cycle or the business upgrades its plan.
  • Riders fulfil DaaS deliveries under the same independent contractor terms as food deliveries. Emergency alert and SOS features are available during active DaaS deliveries.

29. Chop Money Remittance

The Platform's Chop Money feature enables remittance and beneficiary wallet management:

  • Chop Money operates as an agent-principal relationship between the Platform and registered shoppers. It is not a payment processor, money transmitter licence holder, or e-money issuer.
  • Credit loads and beneficiary wallet balances are tracked as ledger entries. The Platform does not hold or custody customer funds in escrow or e-money accounts.
  • Beneficiaries redeem wallet balances through verified MoMo transactions. The Platform records transaction IDs for audit and reconciliation but does not process the MoMo transfer itself.
  • All Chop Money transactions are subject to Ghanaian financial regulations and the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

30. Loyalty, Food Passport & Daily Spin Wheel

The Platform offers loyalty rewards, a Food Passport stamp collection system, and a Daily Spin Wheel:

  • Loyalty Points: Customers earn points on completed, paid orders. Points may be redeemed for discounts. Points have no cash value and are not transferable.
  • Food Passport: Customers collect stamps by ordering from participating restaurants (one stamp per vendor per day, minimum order value applies). Completing stamp collections unlocks milestone vouchers. All passport vouchers are vendor-funded — the discount is provided by the sponsoring vendor, not the Platform.
  • Daily Spin Wheel: Customers may spin once per day to win vendor-funded prizes (percentage discounts, fixed-amount discounts, free items, or loyalty points). "Try again" segments carry no reward. All spin wheel prizes are exclusively vendor-funded. The Platform does not fund cash prizes, delivery credits, or monetary rewards.
  • Vouchers and rewards have an expiry period. Expired vouchers have no value and cannot be reinstated.

31. Promotional Discounts — Best Single Deal Policy

The Platform applies a best single deal discount policy to all orders:

  • Where multiple discounts are applicable (subscription discount, coupon code, Food Passport voucher, Spin Wheel voucher), the Platform calculates each discount separately and applies only the highest single discount to the order.
  • Discounts do not stack. A Customer who has both a Chek Chek Plus 5% subscription discount and a 15% Food Passport voucher will receive only the 15% discount (the higher of the two).
  • The Platform reserves the right to withdraw, modify, or decline any promotional discount, coupon, or voucher at its sole discretion without prior notice.
  • Discount abuse (creating multiple accounts, manipulating voucher codes, or sharing vouchers) will result in voucher revocation and potential account termination.

32. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies or agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chek Chek concerning your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings, whether oral or written.

33. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation for a minimum of 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Accra, Ghana, under rules mutually agreed upon by the parties. The language of arbitration shall be English.

You agree that any claim against Chek Chek must be brought individually. You waive any right to participate in a class action or collective proceeding against the Company.

For informal dispute resolution, contact us at eightfoldcr8ation@gmail.com before pursuing any formal action.

34. Progressive Web App & Offline Mode

Chek Chek operates as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with offline-lite capabilities designed for low-data and low-coverage environments in Ghana:

  • Installability: The Platform can be installed to your device's home screen. On Android, use the "Install" prompt. On iOS, tap the Share button and select "Add to Home Screen." Once installed, the app opens in standalone mode without browser UI.
  • Smart Caching: The Platform caches vendor lists, menus from your favourite and recently ordered vendors, order history, and profile data on your device using a stale-while-revalidate strategy. Cached content is shown immediately and refreshed silently in the background when a connection is available.
  • Image Caching: Vendor and food images are cached on your device with a size cap (oldest images evicted first). Images are served in compressed, appropriately sized formats based on your screen size and connection quality.
  • What is Never Cached: Live order status, rider location, payment-related screens, promotional content, and ChekBot conversations are never cached and always require a live internet connection. This ensures you never see stale delivery or payment information.
  • Offline-Lite Mode: When your connection drops, the Platform switches to offline mode automatically. You may browse cached vendors and menus (stamped with the time they were saved), build and edit a cart, write order notes, view past orders, and view your profile. You cannot place an order, see live availability, or track deliveries while offline.
  • Saved Orders & Sync: While offline, the checkout button becomes "Save order, send when online." Saved orders are stored locally on your device. When your connection returns, the Platform syncs automatically, re-validates prices and item availability against the live menu, and requires your explicit confirmation before the order is sent to the Vendor. If prices changed or items became unavailable, the Platform shows exactly what changed before you confirm. No order is ever sent to a Vendor without a live connection and your explicit confirmation of current prices.
  • Expiry of Saved Orders: Saved orders expire after 12 hours because food availability changes daily. You will receive a notification when a saved order expires. Expired saved orders are not sent and cannot be reinstated.
  • Vendor & Rider Offline Support: Vendors can view today's received orders (cached) and queue menu edits (price changes, item availability toggles) with a "pending sync" badge while offline. Riders have current delivery details (address, phone, order contents) cached the moment a delivery is accepted, and status updates queue and sync when back online.
  • Data-Saver Mode: A toggle in settings enables low-data mode: images load as low-resolution placeholders (tap to load full), animations are disabled, and background refresh is reduced. The Platform may auto-suggest enabling Data-Saver Mode when a slow connection is detected. Approximate data usage per session is displayed in settings.
  • Sync & Conflict Rules: All queued actions carry timestamps. On sync, server state always wins for prices and availability; your cart contents and notes are preserved. A sync-status indicator shows synced, syncing, or pending near the cart and on vendor menu-edit screens. If sync fails three times, your data is kept safe locally with a retry button — nothing is lost.
  • Push Notifications: Where supported by your device and browser, the Platform may send web push notifications for order status updates (confirmed, cooking, rider on the way, delivered) and queued-order sync results. Push permission is requested only after your first order, never on first visit. Notifications respect your country timezone and quiet hours configured in notification settings. You may disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
  • No Payment Data Cached: Payment screens, MoMo transaction details, and payment credentials are never cached or stored on your device. All payment actions require a live connection.
  • Guardrails: Orders are never sent to Vendors without a live connection and explicit confirmation of current prices. All existing online behaviour remains unchanged when a connection is available. The Company is not liable for orders that fail to sync due to prolonged offline periods exceeding the 12-hour expiry window.
